- Primary Use: Secondary surfactant and lipid solubilizer.
- Performance: Acts as a solubilizer to help blend small amounts of essential oils, fragrance oils, and lipids into water-based formulas (like micellar water or toners).
- Properties: Shorter carbon chain length makes it less of a foamer, but an excellent emulsifier.
At pure usage levels it can cause irritation to the skin.
When blending always take the following precautions:
