Lauryl Glucoside (Plantaren® 1200 UP)  is a biodegradable surfactant. Often used as a primary or a co-surfactant in soaps, shampoos, shower gels and bubble bath formulations where mildness is desired.

• Mild surfactant: It's considered a gentle, non-ionic surfactant often used in personal care products due to its mild nature
• Derived from coconut oil: Lauryl glucoside is derived from coconut oil and glucose, making it a naturally derive ingredient
• Foam booster: It is commonly used to enhance foam in cosmetic formulations

When used in conjunction with difficult-to-thicken surfactants, it enhances viscosity and increases foam volume in low-foaming formulations. Research applications before use.

Lauryl Glucoside (Plantaren® 1200 UP) is a highly active Nonionic surfactant and contains NO SOLVENTS OR HYDROTROPES

Recommended Usage Level

10% - 20% (Face Wash)
15% - 30% (Shower Gel / Bath Foam / Shampoo)

HOW TO USE-

• Add this ingredient to the surfactant phase.
• Keep stirring it  until it completely dissolves.
• Add acids of choice to neutralize pH.

Precautions

At pure usage levels it can cause irritation to the skin.

When blending always take the following precautions:

• Use gloves (disposable are ideal)
• Take care when handling hot oils
• Wear eye protection
• Work in a well ventilated room
• Keep ingredients and hot oils away from children
• If ingested, seek immediate medical advice
• If contact made with eyes, rinse immediately with clean warm water and seek medical advice if in any doubt.
